Martijn in 't Veld (b. 1980, Zwaanschans, the Netherlands) is a visual artist and writer, who lives in Berlin. In December 2018, he published his first picture book called the Happy Potato, with Motto Books. For the exhibition Happy Potato Salad at KTB - Kombinat für Text und Bild, Berlin, Martijn will present Happy Potato prints and murals, as well as a range of short stories, text works, silkscreens, drawings and booklets.

About the artist
Martijn in 't Veld is interested in the poetry of everyday objects, whether found on a stroll along the canal or on his kitchen sink, which lead to often witty, minimal and poetic work, that ranges from weather reports, sausage prints, cardboard murals, sock sculptures and cookbooks.

Recent publications, exhibitions and projects include E, with Joar Nango for Documenta 14, Athens, 2017; A Small Life, the Landing Strip, Berlin, 2017; No Space for a Piano with Mikko Kuorinki and Mathijs van Geest, Peach Rotterdam, 2017; Green Oranges, Tenda, Evora, Portugal, 2017; The Name of the Sun is Yellow, Rollo Press, 2016; Chris, the Dreaming Museum Guard for Musée Legitime, 2018; The Mobile House turns with the Sun at House of Egorn, Berlin, 2018.
